The role

CREST Education is seeking a motivated and reliable Primary Teacher to join our Rivercrest teaching team. A fixed, one year, position workingpart-time (0.6) within our Rivercrest Primary campus is now available for an experienced Teacher. The role is for 2027 and commences on 20th January 2027. Rivercrest uses the International Baccalaureate program to deliver an inquiry-based learning approach within the framework of a Christian worldview.

The successful candidate will have:

• The desire to teach in an environment where both Christian values and academic excellence are emphasised
• Passionate about teaching the Primary generation
• Relevant qualifications with VIT registration and commitment to professional learning
• Proven record of field-work experience and/or relevant tertiary qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the IB curriculum.
• Assess and monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments.
• Use data and observations to tailor instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, resilience, and a love of learning.
• Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance student engagement.
• Support the social, emotional, and spiritual growth of students in alignment with school values.
• Implement classroom management strategies that promote respectful and responsible behaviour.
• Identify and support students with learning challenges or additional needs, working closely with Learning Support teams.
• Encourage collaboration, problem-solving, and critical thinking in students.

Foster positive relationships with parents, caregivers, and community members, promoting a collaborative and inclusive school culture

Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan lessons, share best practices, and contribute to curriculum development.

• Participate in school-wide initiatives, extracurricular activities, and pastoral care programs.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and reflective practice to improve teaching effectiveness.
• A genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering both academic and personal growth in students.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex design concepts and engage effectively with students, colleagues, and parents.
