Job summary

The PICA Group is offering a hands-on trainee role in strata management in NSW. You will be supported from day one, learning how committees make decisions and how legislation is applied in real situations, while gradually taking on a portfolio.

You'll work with seasoned Strata Managers, learning to manage complex buildings and develop the confidence to handle a portfolio independently. A 50/50 hybrid work model and a strong training path are provided, with focus on growth and support.

Qualifications

• Experience in property, facilities, compliance, governance, customer service, or other regulated environment (strata experience not required).
• Ability to interpret rules, policies, or legislation and apply them thoughtfully.
• Clear, professional communication skills, particularly in complex or sensitive situations.
• Strong organisation and follow-through in a busy environment.
• Confidence working with numbers, budgets, or financial information.
• Comfort using systems, documenting decisions, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Support the management of a structured strata portfolio, taking increasing ownership as your capability grows.
• Assist with the preparation and delivery of AGMs, EGMs, and committee meetings, including agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions.
• Apply strata legislation and governance principles with guidance, building judgment through real scenarios.
• Coordinate maintenance requests and operational tasks, ensuring issues are tracked and resolved.
• Work closely with Strata Managers, Assistant Strata Managers, and internal teams to deliver consistent, professional service.
• Maintain accurate records, notes, and system updates to support compliance and efficient workflows.
