Cement Australia, based in Brisbane, invites applications for a Trainee Laboratory Technician in our Central Laboratory in Darra. This role offers hands-on training across cement and concrete testing while pursuing a nationally recognised Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques through ABC Training & Consulting.

You will rotate through stations, perform routine testing, learn manual methods, operate equipment, and work with experienced staff to develop practical skills in a safety-focused

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in laboratory work, testing or construction industry.
• Willingness to complete a Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to follow procedures and work safely.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine testing of cement, concrete and related products.
• Learn and perform manual testing methods.
