Job summary

Aurizon is offering entry level Trainee Freight Operator opportunities at our Cloncurry depot in regional Queensland. This program combines theoretical training with hands-on experience across loading and unloading, brake testing and shunting. You will work day and night shifts (up to 12 hours) and weekends as required.

A C Class Drivers Licence is mandatory; a High Risk Forklift Licence is desirable. Applicants will undertake psychometric testing and health screening as part of pre-employment

• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to work day and night shifts, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Undertake the theoretical and practical components of the training program.

• Effectively communicate with other depot personnel face to face and via two-way radio.

Aurizon Bulk has a number of new and exciting entry level opportunity at our Cloncurry depot as a Trainee Freight Operator.

About the role:

• Undertake the theoretical and practical components of the training program

As a part of the company's recruitment and selection process, shortlisted applicants will be required to undertake psychometric testing, traffic history check and successfully pass a pre-employment health assessment that will involve drug and alcohol screening.
