Job summary

NVITAFE in Wodonga is offering a traineeship position within its Kids on Campus childcare centre. You will join a committed team to support quality care for children and gain a qualification while you learn, with opportunities for career progression.

As a trainee, you’ll assist in planning and delivering activities for children aged 0–6, under supervision, and contribute to a caring, developmental environment. Flexible work options may be available.

Qualifications

• You will be expected to undertake and successfully complete the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care during the traineeship.
• Current Level 2 First Aid Certificate (including current CPR) or willingness to obtain.
• Current accredited Anaphylaxis and Asthma certificates or willingness to undertake training within a defined period of time.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and caring of children within the centre.
• Assist in the implementation of relevant programs focused on the individual needs of each child.
• Assist in education and care for children aged between 0–6 years.
• Assist in the organisation and implementation of appropriate meal, snack, rest, and toileting routines.
• Set up quality learning experiences for children.
