Job summary

Matrix Drilling Pty Ltd in Melbourne seeks a motivated person to join the leading geotechnical and environmental drilling team. You will assist in operating drill rigs, receive hands-on training from skilled drillers, and contribute to site setup, drilling operations and well installations.

The role is based in Bayswater North VIC, Monday to Friday, with regional work and weekend duties as required. This is not a FIFO position, and a strong safety culture and career opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted MR or HR license with drilling operation experience.
• OHS Construction 'White' Card.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment police check and medical/drug & alcohol screen.
• Other drilling certifications are favorable but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assist in operating one or more state‑of‑the‑art drill rigs.
• Receive instruction and training from experienced drillers in daily prestarts and site setup.
• Support drilling operations and well installations on major infrastructure projects around Melbourne.
• Work from Bayswater North VIC, Monday to Friday; occasional regional work and weekends.
