Job summary

Ternary in New South Wales is seeking Community Support Workers to assist local aged care clients in their homes. You will provide domestic assistance, personal care, meal prep, transportation, and social support with on-the-job training.

No experience is required; we will train you to Certificate III in Individual Support and pay you during buddy shifts and training days. Shifts run weekdays between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Willingness to train and complete Certificate III in Individual Support.
• No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Training supported while you start your caring career.

Responsibilities

• Visit clients in their homes to provide services such as domestic assistance, personal care, meal preparation and social activities.
• Support clients with transportation to appointments and community activities; assist with daily living tasks.
• Progress to additional services as you gain skills, including respite and other in-home supports.

• Minimum 15 hours a week, and work up to 30+ hours a week

• The hourly rate is $34.4200 per hour (part-time)
• Must have a reliable vehicle with a NSW driver's licence and have/be willing to obtain full comprehensive insurance.

Our client, a well-established home and community care organisation, is seeking new team members to join their local team in the region.

No experience is required; we will train you in Certificate III in Individual Support, and you will be paid to attend buddy shifts, regular shifts, and training days.

We are expanding this team to deal with the increase in new clients requiring services, with the expansion of community services.

When you start your career as a Community Support Worker, you can complete socialisation and domestic tasks. As you progress, you will receive training in additional services, such as personal care (showering, dressing, grooming, toileting), respite, catheter care, and much more!

What we are seeking:

• Ability to pass a National Police Check (we will get this for you)
• Ability to pass and receive a Working with Vulnerable Persons Card (WVPC)
• Have a current NSW driver's licence
• Have a reliable, registered vehicle, with full comprehensive insurance; and
• Have regular availability
• Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or a Permanent resident, allowing access to State Funding for the program.

Shifts are available Monday to Friday, between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm.

You will be visiting (clients - aged care) in their homes and supporting them with services, which may include:

• Domestic Assistance
• Shopping trips
• Personal Care (dressing, showering, grooming, etc)
• Meal Preparation
• Transportation
• To & from Medical Appointments
• Social Activities
• Respite
