Job summary

We are expanding our Home Care Workers team in Adelaide and are offering a part-time role with guaranteed hours and flexible scheduling. You will be trained on the job and funded to complete a Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) while employed, with paid training and study days.

Shifts run Monday to Friday between 7:00am and 7:00pm, with a minimum of 15 hours and up to 35 hours per week. A driver’s licence and reliable vehicle are required, as is eligibility for funding.

Qualifications

• No experience or qualification is required.
• We will train you via on-the-job and complete Certificate III in Individual Support during paid work time - a traineeship.
• Must have availability over a minimum of 3 days, i.e. 9:00am - 4:00pm or 7:00am - 7:00pm
• Hold a current SA Driver's licence, have a reliable vehicle, and have full comprehensive insurance
• Be an AU/NZ Citizen or Permanent Resident to access funding to complete the accredited training course and traineeship.
• Have regular availability, minmum 3 regular days per week.
• Be fit and healthy, be able to complete a variety of tasks (see below), and pass a fitness/health assessment

Responsibilities

• Domestic Assistance (vacuuming, mopping, changing sheets, surface cleaning of living areas)
• Bed making, room tidying up
• Shopping, completing weekly/fortnightly shopping for the client
• Transportation, taking clients to and from appointments in the community
• Personal Care (showering, dressing, grooming)
• Respite and Social Support
• Ability to listen, build a rapport, and work with a range of clients and other staff

We are expanding this team to deal with the increase in new clients and the growth of the industry. We would like to employ our next generation of Home Care Workers, where we will pay you to attend work and be trained by our experienced and qualified team members.

Shift durations vary from 1 hour to 3 hours, and we work with you to build full days of work, seeing clients back-to-back.

You are paid for your travel time and KM's between clients.
