Job summary

NWG (National Windscreens Group) is expanding and seeking a Trainee Autoglazier to join our Truganina team in Melbourne. This entry-level role offers comprehensive on-the-job training, with progression into an autonomous windscreen fitting career within the automotive glazing industry.

You will learn all aspects of installation and repair, support senior technicians, and develop customer service skills while advancing through a nationally recognised training pathway.

Qualifications

• No experience required; on-the-job training leading to qualifications.
• Must have a valid Driver’s Licence.
• Positive attitude and reliable work ethic.
• Interest in vehicles and automotive glazing helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians with safe windscreen removal and installation.
• Learn to fit and repair automotive glass across various makes and models.
• Provide excellent customer service on-site and in workshop.
• Safely handle technical automotive glass and specialised tools.
• Keep vehicles, equipment and work area clean and well-maintained.
• Work within a team and build the ability to work independently.

As part of the growing NWG, we are continuing to expand our footprint. We are now looking for a motivated Trainee Windscreen Fitter/ Autoglazier to join our Truganina team.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Trainee Autoglazier, you will be taught all aspects of automotive glass installation and repair. You will gain experience working on everything from everyday commuters to prestige, classic, and custom cars.

• Assisting senior technicians with safe windscreen removal and installation.
• Learning to fit and repair automotive glass across a wide range of makes and models.
• Providing exceptional customer service both on-site and in the workshop.
• Safely handling technical automotive glass and specialised tools.
• Maintaining vehicles, equipment, and your work area to high standards.
• Working collaboratively as part of a team, while building the skills to work independently.

What You Bring to the Team

• A valid Driver’s Licence (MUST HAVE).
