Job summary

Videopro is offering an entry-level Trainee AV Technician position in Queensland, Australia. The role provides structured training, on-the-job learning and exposure to commercial AV projects, with a formal Traineeship leading to a nationally recognised qualification.

You'll join our Technical Teams to support installation tasks, learn system design and testing, and progress to a qualified AV Technician over about 18–24 months. A strong team player with good communication is valued.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Telecommunications Technology to be completed as part of the Traineeship.
• Keen to learn, able to work in a team, and bring a positive attitude.
• Willingness to complete training and safety standards.
• Has a white/blue card or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Videopro is looking for motivated individuals to join our Technical Teams as a Trainee AV Technician. You'll provide support to our installation teams, assisting with technical, administrative, and hands-on installation tasks. As part of the role, you'll complete theCertificate III in Telecommunications Technologythrough a formal Traineeship, combining on-the-job experience with structured training. The full pathway from commencement to qualified AV Technician is expected to take approximately 18–24 months.

You'll need to be keen to learn, comfortable working in a team, and ready to pitch in wherever needed. Good communication skills and a positive attitude go a long way here.

What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting the delivery of AV projects on-site, including new builds and retrofits
• Learning the basics of AV system design, installation, testing and commissioning
• Completing your Certificate III in Telecommunications Technology as part of a formal Traineeship
• Attending training and development sessions as part of our structured Traineeship Program
• Assisting with cable runs, equipment installation, and basic setup under supervision
• Communicating effectively with internal teams and customers
• Following safety, quality and company standards on every job
