Job summary

Freighter Group is seeking two motivated Trailer Mechanics to join our Brooklyn team in Australia. This role focuses on high-quality mechanical services for customer transport equipment, including diagnosis and repair of trailer systems such as EBS fault finding, and performing scheduled servicing to ensure safety and reliability.

You will work with a team of experienced professionals, holding a trade qualification and background in automotive or heavy vehicle maintenance.

Qualifications

• Hold a trade qualification or equivalent.
• Proven background in automotive, heavy vehicle, or transport maintenance.
• Knowledge of trailer brakes, EBS fault finding, air systems, and pneumatic/auxiliary systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality mechanical services on customer transport equipment.
• Diagnose and repair trailer systems, focusing on EBS fault finding and rectification.
• Carry out scheduled servicing and general repairs to keep trailers compliant, reliable and safe.
• Accurately record materials, complete task documentation, and support WIP close-out.
• Maintain a clean workspace, follow SOPs and participate in safety initiatives.
