Job summary

GTS Freight Management is seeking a full-time Trailer Maintenance person to support the safe operation of our national fleet. Based in Mildura, you will inspect, maintain and repair trailers, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and timely reporting.

You will work within a supportive maintenance team, handling preventative maintenance, component replacements, and documentation. Prior mechanical experience with trailers is preferred; strong communication and basic computer skills are

• Mechanical experience with trailers or heavy vehicles.
• Strong attention to detail and time management are essential.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Good communication skills (verbal and written).
• Basic computer skills for service reporting and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Inspect trailers and identify defects or worn components.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs under supervision.
• Replace or repair parts including curtains, gates, toolboxes, lighting and more.
• Maintain workshop equipment and cleanliness.
• Complete service reports, timesheets, and repair documentation.

We are seeking a full-time Trailer Maintenance person to join our maintenance team, supporting the safe and efficient operation of our national fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect trailers and identify defects or worn components
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs under supervision
• Replace or repair parts including curtains, gates, toolboxes, lighting and more
• Maintain workshop equipment and cleanliness
• Complete service reports, timesheets, and repair documentation
• Adhere to safety protocols and report hazards

What We’re Looking For:

• Mechanical experience (trailers preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and time management
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)

No formal qualifications required, but experience in a similar role is desirable.
