Job summary

Rockhampton Marine is seeking a practical, hands-on person to join our team in Rockhampton. The role involves unloading and unstacking deliveries, assembling and preparing new trailers for sale, and fitting accessories such as cages, spare wheels and ramps.

You will unpack and organise stock, assist with pre-delivery inspections, and keep the yard tidy and safe. The ideal candidate is mechanically minded, physically fit, reliable and able to work outdoors with initiative.

• Manual dexterity and practical workshop skills

Responsibilities

• Unloading and unstacking deliveries of new trailers
• Assembling and preparing new trailers for sale
• Fitting accessories including cages, spare wheels, loading ramps
• Unpacking and organising trailer accessories and stock
• Assisting with trailer pre-delivery inspections and preparation
• Moving and positioning trailers around the yard
• General workshop and yard duties as required
• Moving trailers around the yard safely in outdoor conditions

Unloading and unstacking deliveries of new trailers

Assembling and preparing new trailers for sale

Fitting accessories including cages, spare wheels, loading ramps and more

Unpacking and organising trailer accessories and stock

Assisting with trailer pre-delivery inspections and preparation

Keeping our trailer yard clean, tidy and organised

Moving and positioning trailers around the yard

General workshop and yard duties as required

Mechanically minded with good practical skills

Experience with trailers, wheel hubs, brakes, 12V wiring and trailer lighting highly regarded

Physically fit and capable of manual handling and working outdoors

Able to work independently and use initiative

Reliable, punctual and hardworking

Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship

A positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in!

Flexible working hours, with additional hours potentially available during busy periods
