Job summary

CMV Truck & Bus Pty in North Albury, NSW, seeks an experienced Trailer Mechanic / Qualified Heavy Vehicle Technician for our workshop. You will service and maintain on-site customer fleet vehicles and provide excellent customer service in a regional location.

The role offers overtime including weekends and opportunities to grow skills in welding, fabrication, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs across multiple trailer makes and models.

Qualifications

• Qualified trailer mechanic or Cert III Mechanical trade
• Experience in trailer servicing and refurbishment in heavy vehicle industry
• Current HC/HR licence beneficial but not essential
• Demonstrated welding and fabrication experience
• General fitting and mechanical work on trailers
• Ability to read drawings and fabricate to specifications and work autonomously or in a team
• Own tools
• Excellent attention to detail and customer focus

Responsibilities

• Conduct general servicing of heavy vehicle trailers to appropriate standards
• Maintain and repair heavy vehicle trailers on a variety of makes and models
• VicRoads roadworthy inspections
• Vehicle diagnosis, mechanical and hydraulics works along with auto electrical and fabrication work
• Completion of service sheets and other job-related documents
• An abundance of overtime including weekend work

Our Fleet management business now requires the need for an experienced Trailer Mechanic / Qualified Heavy Vehicle Technician to join our friendly team working from our workshop in North Albury, NSW. Here you will be required to undertake the service and maintenance requirements of all on-site customer fleet vehicles whilst providing excellent customer service. This role will suit a skilled and dedicated individual who is looking to expand on their skill sets with an opportunity to learn, grow and advance your career in a beautiful regional location.

Duties & responsibilities

If you have

• A qualification in trailer mechanics and or min Cert 3 Mechanical trade certificate/qualification
• Experience in trailer servicing and refurbishing in an Heavy Vehicle industry

• Demonstrated welding and fabrication experience
• General fitting and mechanical work experience on trailers
