Job summary

Ten Mile Trafix in Melbourne is seeking an experienced traffic management professional to coordinate multiple crews across large-scale projects. You will ensure compliance with traffic regulations, train site staff, and implement control plans to maintain safe traffic flow.

The role requires leadership, reliability, and the ability to manage schedules in a fast-paced environment with ongoing training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in Traffic Management.
• Experience coordinating multiple Traffic Control teams.
• Current TCI1/TMI1 and TMI2/TC2 as minimum.
• Experience with Traffio and compliance software.
• Experience recruiting and retaining staff long term.
• Ability to set up complex TGS/TMP/MOA accurately.
• Reliable and trustworthy in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate teams of Traffic Controllers to cover responsibilities and compliance.
• Collaborate with authorities, stakeholders and project teams for traffic-related activities.
• Use Traffio to organise crews and ensure compliance.
• Ensure compliance with traffic laws and safety standards.
• Provide training to site personnel on traffic management procedures.
• Maintain records and generate reports on traffic activities and metrics.
• Implement traffic control plans for safe traffic flow.
• Set up and maintain traffic control equipment per TGS/TMP.
• Direct traffic and pedestrians for safe passage.
• Monitor traffic conditions and adjust measures as needed.

Key responsibilities

Coordinate teams of Traffic Controllers to ensure they cover off all responsibilities required, are always compliant and at large scale

Collaborate with local authorities, stakeholders and project teams to coordinate traffic-related activities

Use Traffio or similar, to organise and manage the crews/staff and compliance

Ensure compliance with all relevant traffic laws, regulations and safety standards

Provide training and guidance to site personnel on traffic management procedures

Maintain detailed records and generate reports on traffic-related activities and metrics

Implement traffic control plans to ensure safe traffic flow

Set up and maintain traffic control equipment, including signs, cones, and barriers in line with TGS/TMP

Direct traffic and pedestrians to ensure safe passage

Monitor traffic conditions and adjust traffic control measures as needed

About you

5+ years' experience in a similar role within Traffic Management

Experience with managing, organising and coordinating of many Traffic Control teams simultaneously

Track record of success and compliance in previous roles

Current TCI1/TMI1 And TMI2/TC2 as a minimum

Experience with prestart, online traffic control Apps, Traffio and other computer programs used for compliance

Experience recruiting and holding onto staff long term

Must know how to accurately set up complex TGS/TMP/MOA every time

Proven experience in checking TGS/TMP/MOA of other staff successfully

Must be reliable and trustworthy

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
