Traffic Group Australia in Scenic Rim Region SE QLD seeks a Traffic Controller for seasonal works. The role supports road safety with Stop/Slow Bat operations and site traffic management.

Practical prerequisites include a current driver’s licence, White Card, and Queensland traffic control credentials. Training and PPE are provided; weekly pay is typical in this role.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Driver's Licence.
• Current General Construction Industry White Card.
• Mandatory: Traffic Controller Authority - Stop/Slow Bat (Qld).
• Mandatory: Traffic Management Implementation Card (Qld).

Responsibilities

• Perform traffic management for works or events.
• Use Stop/Slow Bat to control traffic flow.
• Implement and monitor operational traffic guidance schemes.
• Load and unload signage and equipment for sites.
• Complete required paperwork and online forms as needed.
• Conduct site hazard assessments and apply control measures.
• Report hazards and near misses to supervisors.
• Follow instructions from team leaders, foremen or inspectors.

Prerequisites

• Drivers Licence
• General Construction Industry White Card
• Current Traffic Controller Industry Authority - Working with Stop/Slow Bat (Qld) - This is a mandatory requirement for all applicants
• Traffic Management Implementation Card (Qld) - This is a mandatory requirement for all applicants

Duties

• Perform all tasks associated with traffic management for works or events
• Use of Stop/Slow Bat to control traffic
• Implement and monitor operational traffic guidance schemes
• Load and unload vehicles with signage and equipment
• Complete required paperwork and online forms and tasks as required
• Complete site hazard assessments and implement control measures to suit the site
• Report on site hazards and near misses
• Obey instructions from team leaders, foremen, or inspectors and auditors
• Control traffic, pedestrians, and cyclists to protect maintenance workers, work crews and members of the public
