Job summary

Traffic Group Australia in Scenic Rim Region, SE Queensland is urgently seeking Traffic Controllers for seasonal works through to the New Year. You will direct traffic using Stop/Slow Bat, set up signage, and ensure safety for workers and the public.

Prerequisites include a valid driver’s licence, White Card, and mandatory Qld credentials (Stop/Slow Bat, Traffic Management Implementation Card). We offer take-home vehicles, weekly wages, PPE, and allowances for Team Leaders.

Qualifications

• Drivers Licence
• General Construction Industry White Card
• Current Traffic Controller Industry Authority - Working with Stop/Slow Bat (Qld) - This is a mandatory requirement for all applicants
• Traffic Management Implementation Card (Qld) - This is a mandatory requirement for all applicants

Responsibilities

• Perform all tasks associated with traffic management for works or events
• Use of Stop/Slow Bat to control traffic
• Implement and monitor operational traffic guidance schemes
• Load and unload vehicles with signage and equipment
• Complete required paperwork and online forms and tasks as required
• Complete site hazard assessments and implement control measures to suit the site
• Report on site hazards and near misses
• Obey instructions from team leaders, foremen, or inspectors and auditors
• Control traffic, pedestrians, and cyclists to protect maintenance workers, work crews and members of the public
