Job summary

Appoint Recruit is seeking an experienced traffic design professional to deliver TM documentation for South East Queensland projects. You will prepare TMPs, TGSs, layouts, risk assessments and detour plans, coordinating with TMR, councils and field crews to ensure practical on-site implementation.

Open to experienced designers and traffic professionals moving into design, with strong knowledge of QGTTM, MUTCD Part 3 and Invarion RapidPlan. CAD/12D drafting is highly regarded in this role.

Qualifications

• TMD qualification and design experience, or strong background as a TMI, Traffic Supervisor or Traffic Planner.
• Knowledge of QGTTM, MUTCD Part 3 and Queensland authority requirements.
• Experience with Invarion RapidPlan or comparable traffic planning software.
• CAD or 12D drafting experience highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail, technical judgement and ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare TMPs, TGSs, traffic control layouts, risk assessments and detour plans
• Manage designs from initial request through to approval, revision and issue
• Coordinate permit and approval requirements with TMR, councils and other authorities
• Collaborate with operations and field crews to ensure safe, practical implementation
• Maintain accurate design records, document control and version management
