Job summary

Downer is seeking a specialist to lead traffic management governance and compliance across major projects in Adelaide. You will drive audits, review TMPs/TGSs, and advise operations to meet Austroads and SA Workzone standards.

This role focuses on safety, Zero Harm, and continuous improvement, with collaboration across teams and stakeholder engagement to uphold contractual obligations and best practice.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in road maintenance / construction industry.
• Experience in traffic management compliance, advisory or quality roles.
• Strong knowledge of Austroads and SA Workzone Traffic Management standards.
• Experience reviewing TMPs and auditing compliance.
• Understanding of permit processes and Traffic Management Centre requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead traffic management quality and compliance across the state.
• Conduct audits and assurance reviews of works and documentation.
• Review and endorse Third Party Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) and Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGS).
• Prepare internal TMP's and TGS's for implementation.
• Apply for and assist others in obtaining Road Occupancy Permits.
• Identify risks, non-conformances and drive improvements.
• Provide governance, guidance and coaching to operational teams.
• Champion Zero Harm and safe work practices.

Join our team in a role focused on traffic management governance and compliance. You will play a key role in maintaining standards through audit, review and advisory support - ensuring all activities align with Austroads, DIT requirements and contractual obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead traffic management quality and compliance across the state
• Conduct audits and assurance reviews of works and documentation
