Fairfield City Council is seeking an experienced Professional Engineer (Traffic) to join our Traffic & Transport team. The role focuses on delivering safe, efficient, and sustainable transport outcomes across the City, with responsibilities including traffic and parking investigations, reports, and liaison with stakeholders.

You will work on a variety of projects, manage consultants, assess development applications, and help shape movement of people and goods while embracing flexible and hybrid

Competenze

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent suitable for Engineers Australia.
• Current NSW Class C Driver Licence.
• Demonstrated experience in traffic and/or transport engineering.
• Experience using AutoCAD and AutoTurn.
• Ability to interpret and apply SIDRA outputs.
• Strong understanding of traffic engineering, road safety, transport and freight principles.
• Demonstrated ability to apply Australian Standards, Austroads Guides and TfNSW requirements.
• Highly developed written communication skills, including preparation of technical reports and committee reports.
• Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate complex traffic and parking matters.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and stakeholder expectations.
