Job summary

WGA (Wallbridge Gilbert Aztec) is seeking Traffic Engineers and Senior Traffic Engineers to join our expanding team in Melbourne, Geelong or Hobart. You will work on diverse civil infrastructure projects, delivering traffic management plans, impact assessments, and site safety audits.

The role requires a degree in Civil/Transport Engineering and 3+ years of traffic engineering experience, with strong communication and client-facing skills.

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil Engineering, Transport/Traffic Engineering, Transport Planning, or similar.
• 3+ years of experience in traffic engineering and/or transport planning.
• Strong communication skills and client interface experience.
• Passion for traffic engineering with willingness to learn.
• Experience in land use planning projects and traffic impact assessments.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a range of projects from Local Government to State and Federal Civil infrastructure.
• Prepare traffic impact assessments and traffic management plans.
• Support site safety audits and related traffic engineering tasks.
• Collaborate with local project teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

About Our Role

Our Traffic and Waste team has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality outcomes across a diverse range of sectors and regions. Working closely with local project teams, the group plays a key role in supporting projects nationwide while maintaining a collaborative and close-knit culture. Due to continued growth and sustained project success, we are seeking Traffic Engineers and Senior Traffic Engineers to join our expanding team! This role can be based in Melbourne, Geelong or Hobart. Our project exposure ranges across local government to State, Federal and Private Civil infrastructure designs and we enjoy the capability to provide our Engineers and designers with a variety of different types of projects including Renewable Energy projects such as windfarms, Residential and Industrial Developments, Land use planning projects, Traffic Management Plans and Site Safety Audits.

About You

• A degree in Civil Engineering, Transport/Traffic Engineering, Transport Planning, or similar.
• 3+ years of experience in traffic engineering and/or transport planning
• Strong communication skills, client interface and a proven ability to deliver optimal outcomes for clients.
• Passionate about traffic engineering and transport planning, with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
• Experience in land use planning projects, including preparing traffic impact assessment reports, with a sound understanding of the Planning Scheme and Australian Standards.
