Responsibilities

• Communicate with site supervisors and crews to coordinate activities.
• Perform pre-shift checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain records of incidents and report hazards or safety concerns.
• Adhere to WHS requirements and safety policies.
• Respond to changing traffic conditions and emergencies promptly.

Right Way Traffic Management is seeking Traffic Controllers both TMI/STS to join our team. This role offers flexible work opportunities for skilled professionals in the traffic management industry. As a Traffic Controller, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of road users and workers at construction sites, maintenance areas, and special events. This position is essential to maintaining safe traffic flow and protecting both the public and our work teams.

Key responsibilities

• Operating traffic management equipment including traffic control devices, signage, and temporary traffic control measures
• Directing and controlling vehicle and pedestrian traffic in accordance with traffic management plans and legal requirements
• Monitoring road conditions and adjusting traffic control measures as needed to maintain safety
• Communicating effectively with site supervisors, construction teams, and other personnel to coordinate traffic management activities
• Conducting pre-shift vehicle and equipment checks to ensure all materials are in safe working condition
• Maintaining accurate records of traffic incidents and reporting any hazards or safety concerns immediately
• Adhering to all relevant safety regulations, policies, and procedures, including Work Health and Safety requirements
• Responding promptly to changing traffic conditions and emergency situations

What we're looking for

• Current Traffic Management Certification TMI and/or STS workers.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with teams and the public
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

• Flexibility to work casual hours, including potential early starts, late finishes, and weekend work
