Job summary

Queensland Health's Metro North Health is seeking a Tradesperson - HVAC to deliver preventive maintenance, installation and repair of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems across one of Queensland's largest healthcare facilities.

You will work independently and in teams, diagnose faults, conduct fault finding, coordinate with contractors and clinical areas, and ensure compliance with safety and standards to support hospital operations.

Qualifications

• Experience with HVAC and refrigeration systems in healthcare environments.
• Ability to diagnose faults and implement cost-effective maintenance solutions.
• Experience managing maintenance work orders and materials.

Join Building Engineering & Maintenance Services as a Tradesperson - HVAC, delivering expert maintenance, installation and repair services for critical healthcare infrastructure while ensuring safe, reliable and efficient hospital environments across one of Queensland's largest health services.

About the role

As a Tradesperson - HVAC within Building Engineering & Maintenance Services (BEMS) at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, you will provide high-quality maintenance, repair and installation services for heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems across one of Queensland's largest healthcare facilities. Your work will play a critical role in ensuring hospital infrastructure operates safely, efficiently and in compliance with relevant standards and legislative requirements.

Working both independently and as part of a skilled team, you will undertake fault finding, preventative maintenance and repairs on complex HVAC systems, plant and associated infrastructure. You will collaborate with stakeholders, contractors and clinical areas to deliver reliable building services that support the ongoing delivery of healthcare services.

About you

• Conduct condition assessments of plant and infrastructure to support asset reliability, performance and preventative maintenance programs.
• Liaise with supervisors, contractors and stakeholders while maintaining compliance with relevant legislation, standards, codes of practice and workplace safety requirements.
