Job summary

Corrective Services NSW in Lithgow is seeking a Tradesperson – Various Trades to lead, mentor and supervise inmates while applying trade skills. You’ll drive safe, quality outcomes and support rehabilitation and future employment opportunities.

This role blends hands-on trade work with leadership, coordinating daily operations, maintaining a safe workshop and ensuring WHS and quality compliance. A meaningful role in regional NSW awaits.

Qualifications

• Minimum Cert III in listed trades (Warehousing, Logistics, Food, Construction, Horticulture, Textiles or Maintenance).
• Certificate III in Correctional Practice or willingness to obtain within 12 months.
• Current NSW Drivers Licence and ability to drive for the role.
• Ability to work across various trades as required.
• Ability to work in a high-volume environment.
• Experience aligned with role responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead inmates, mentor and supervise to develop trade skills and employability.
• Combine hands-on trade work with leadership and coaching.
• Deliver on-the-job training and programs supporting reintegration.
• Own the workshop, manage tools, equipment and safety standards.
