Job summary

SIMPEC Pty Ltd is seeking experienced Trades Assistants for the Alkimos Desalination Plant Project in Western Australia. The role supports the SMP team alongside Boilermakers, Welders, Pipe Fitters and Mechanical Fitters on a major AU$2.8 billion project.

Perth metro-based roster with Monday to Friday days and occasional Saturday work during critical phases. A 12+ month duration offers significant hands-on experience on WA's largest infrastructure project and a chance to grow within a dynamic

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in the construction/mining industry.
• High Risk Work Licence - WP.
• Working at Heights within 2 years.
• Fire Extinguisher Training completed.
• Basic Rigging / Dogging.
• Construction Card.
• Valid Driver’s Licence.
• Australian Work Rights.
• Must pass full pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen.

This role will be to support the SMP team alongside Boilermakers, Welders, Pipe Fitters and Mechanical Fitters. Experience in a similar role on construction projects will be highly desirable.

About the Project

SIMPEC has been awarded the structural, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation works for the Alkimos Desalination Plant Project.

Be part of this major AU$2.8 billion project, delivering critical infrastructure to strengthen Western Australia's future water security. The new desalination plant will supply drinking water to millions of Western Australians and connect to Perth's water network via a 33.5 km underground pipeline between Alkimos and Wanneroo.
