Berendsen Fluid Power Pty Ltd in Australia is seeking a MR Driver / Trades Assistant to join our Maryland Newcastle team. You will load, unload and deliver to customers, inspect vehicles and ensure safety throughout each trip.

Qualifications

• Minimum MR licence holder with proven truck driving experience.
• Experience working with tradespeople on site.
• Knowledge of truck regulations and traffic laws.

Responsibilities

• Loading/unloading and delivery to customers
• Inspect vehicle and report any mechanical and safety issues
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations as well as with company policies and procedures
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Ensure cargo is safely secured throughout the trip

Your Tasks

• Loading/unloading and delivery to customers
• Inspect vehicle and report any mechanical and safety issues
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Ensure cargo is safely secured throughout the trip

About You

• Proven work experience as a Truck Driver. Minimum current MR licence required.
• Working with the tradespeople
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• Strong knowledge of traffic laws, particularly truck driving rules and regulations
• Inspecting the truck to prevent any safety issues
