Job summary

Cummins is seeking a talented Trades Assistant to join our Wetherill Park branch in Sydney. The role focuses on supporting engine rebuilding, high horsepower diesel engines, and rail/rebuild activities.

You will work with a skilled team, learn new skills on the job, and comply with health, safety, and environmental policies. Overtime is available to meet workload needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in rebuilding and repairing Cummins engines, including high horsepower diesel engines.
• Support Rail/Rebuild team on medium/high horsepower and auxiliary power units.
• Work on engines of Sydney Trains diesel fleet with planned and reactive maintenance.
• Work as part of a skilled team delivering rebuilt engines using various equipment.
• Learn new skills through on-the-job training.
• Ensure adherence to Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and report issues.
• Complete required documentation such as Safety Check Sheets, Process Quality Checks, Daily Time Sheets.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Play a supportive role in the high-quality rebuilding and repairing of Cummins engines, includingHigh Horsepower Diesel Engines

This role will support the Rail/Rebuild team working on medium duty, high horse power and auxiliary power support units.

Get a chance to work on the engines of Sydney Trains diesel fleet and do planned and reactive maintenance works.

Work as part of a highly skilled team delivering rebuiltengines using multiple types of equipment

Learn new skills, through on-the-job training

Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and report any issues / incidents

Complete required documentation, such as Safety Check Sheets, Process Quality Checks, Daily Time Sheets

To be successful in this role you will need the following:
