Job summary

Liebherr-Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Trade Assistant to provide hands-on support across the Refurbishment area in our Adelaide workshop. You will assist with component handling, cleaning, preparation and assembly, helping ensure we meet customer expectations while maintaining productivity.

The role requires a Certificate II Engineering (Mechanical) or 1–2 years’ experience, a current driver’s license and a High Risk Licence to operate a forklift.

Qualifications

• Certificate II Engineering (Mechanical) or 1–2 years’ industry experience.
• Current driver’s license.
• High Risk Licence to Operate Forklift.

Responsibilities

• Assist with component handling, cleaning, preparation, assembly support and general workshop activities.
• Provide support services including basic administrative tasks and quality control techniques.
• Maintain a safe and clean workspace and operate basic workshop equipment and tools.
• Order spare parts and lubricate mechanical equipment as needed.
• Inspect work for conformity to standards and perform basic measurement tasks.
• Work across Remanufacturing sections as required.

Job description

Responsibilities

The Trade Assistant will provide the hands-on support required across the Refurbishment area, assisting with component handling, cleaning, preparation, assembly support, and general workshop activities. This will ensure the team can continue to meet customer expectations while maintaining productivity and workflow.

Provide support services; including but not limited to:

• Basic administrative tasks
• Applying quality control techniques
• Maintaining a safe and clean work place
• Use basic hand and power tools
• Operate basic workshop equipment
• Ordering spare parts
• Lubricating mechanical equipment and components
• Operating lifting equipment
• Inspecting work for conformity to established standards
• Basic measurement and inspection
• Work in all sections within the Remanufacturing as required

Skills & Experience

Preferred

• Certificate II Engineering (Mechanical) or at least 1-2 years’ industry experience
• Current driver’s license
• High Risk License to Operate Forklift

Desirable

• High Risk Licence to Operate Bridge and Gantry Cranes
