Job summary

Finlaysons, part of the Total Tools Hardware Group and a wholly owned entity of Metcash Limited, is seeking a casual yard hand for our Woodridge site. You will help tradies by loading, packing, and organizing stock, while delivering fast, friendly service in a busy yard.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading trucks, forklift operation, and maintaining WHS standards. A forklift licence and a valid driver's licence are essential; timber knowledge is a plus and training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Forklift licence is essential.
• A current driver’s licence is required.
• Timber and hardware knowledge is handy, but training will be provided.
• Strong work ethic and team-first mindset are important.
• Safety and WHS compliance mindset is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical labour in a busy yard environment.
• Load and unload trucks with timber and building materials.
• Pick, pack and organise stock for accurate deliveries.
• Assist tradies by sorting and speeding up orders.
• Replenish stock and maintain a clean, safe yard.
• Prioritise safety and customer service in all tasks.

Finlayson is on the lookout for a reliable, energetic team player to join our Trade Yard in Woodridge.

This is a casual role with a roster across Monday to Friday, perfect for someone who enjoys physical work, variety in their day, and helping tradies and builders get what they need - fast! You'll be doing everything from picking and packing orders, loading trucks, driving forklift and keeping the yard in top shape, to delivering top-notch service to our customers.

What you'll be doing

• Rolling up your sleeves for physical work (yes, there's some heavy lifting!)
• Loading and unloading trucks with timber and building materials
• Pick,pack and organise stock to ensuredeliveriesareaccurate
• Helping tradies in the yard and get their orders sorted quickly and efficiently
• Replenishing stock and keeping the yard clean and safe
• Putting safety and customer service front and centre every day

What you will bring
