Job summary

Whitsunday Regional Council is seeking an experienced plumbing professional transitioning from field work to a technical advisory role across the Whitsunday Region. The role focuses on managing trade waste with businesses, contractors and customers, applying industry knowledge daily without field-heavy hazards.

The ideal candidate will hold a QBCC Plumbing and Drainage Licence, a C Class Driver Licence and White Card, with strong knowledge of Queensland legislation and solid data/records

Qualifications

• Qualified plumber preferred with industry experience.
• Ability to understand and apply Queensland plumbing regulations.
• Sound computer and record-keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Visit businesses and industrial sites across the region.
• Assess and approve trade waste applications.
• Inspect grease arrestors and other treatment systems.
• Investigate and resolve trade waste issues.
• Assist customers with practical trade waste solutions.
• Collect and interpret field data and samples.
• Monitor trade waste systems and infrastructure.
• Manage records, permits and customer information.
