Job summary

Phaidon International in Sydney is seeking a Compliance Surveillance Officer to join our growing team. You will investigate trade surveillance alerts, monitor for market abuse, and review electronic communications to drive timely resolutions.

This role requires 3+ years in trade/market surveillance, strong analytical skills, and experience with SQL or Python. You will work across Trading, Technology, Risk and Compliance to strengthen controls and data-driven oversight.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Trade/Market Surveillance or related area.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills.
• Degree qualified or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Investigate trade surveillance alerts and unusual trading activities.
• Monitor for potential market abuse and trading conduct risks.
• Review electronic communications alerts and follow through to resolution.
• Analyse trading and market data to identify trends and exceptions.
• Support the enhancement of surveillance systems and controls.
• Assist with compliance monitoring and regulatory initiatives.
• Work closely with Trading, Technology, Risk, and Compliance teams.
