Job summary

Express Employment Professionals in Brookvale is seeking an experienced Storesperson / Trade Counter professional to join a well-established steel and industrial supplies business.

You will pick, pack and prepare customer orders, assist customers at the trade counter, and help with stock management to ensure timely deliveries. This full-time role offers a Monday-Friday 9am-5pm schedule with a temporary-to-permanent path and a pay rate of $34-$36/hr plus Super.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years' experience in a busy warehouse environment.
• Experience in hardware, steel, industrial supplies, trade centres, automotive or spare parts highly regarded.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Confidence speaking with customers face‑to‑face and understanding their needs.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack and prepare customer orders across a wide range of products, from small hardware through to structural steel.
• Serve customers at the trade counter, understand their requirements and assist them with product selection.
• Check stock availability and provide customers with accurate delivery timeframes.
• Receive, unload and organise incoming stock.
• Safely move and store products throughout the warehouse.
• Assist with loading customer and delivery vehicles.
• Maintain accurate stock levels and keep the warehouse clean, safe and organised.
• Work closely with the sales and warehouse teams to ensure customers receive a great experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

About You

We're looking for someone who is reliable, practical and confident dealing with customers, with:

• 2-3+ years' experience in a busy warehouse environment
• Experience in hardware, steel, industrial supplies, trade centres, automotive or spare parts highly regarded
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Confidence speaking with customers face‑to‑face and understanding their needs
• Good physical fitness and the ability to handle manual tasks
• A strong work ethic and willingness to get involved across the warehouse
• Forklift Licence highly regarded, but not essential
