Job summary

Coxons Group Australia is seeking a motivated Trade Assistant / Workshop Assistant based in Rockhampton to support our radiators and heat exchangers team. You’ll work with experts, assist trade personnel, and help document work through photos and notes.

You should be mechanically minded, comfortable using hand and power tools, and follow safety standards. The role emphasizes hands‑on tasks, reliability, good communication, and a positive attitude to learning and teamwork.

We are seeking a motivated Trade Assistant / Workshop Assistant to support our crew of experts who specialise in radiators and heat exchangers for some of the biggest names in mining.

What’s the role?

Based in Rockhampton and reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you’ll form a part of our Strip & Assess team and be responsible for:

• Stripping, cleaning, and testing radiators and cooling components
• Sandblasting and buffing radiator tubes
• Assisting trade personnel and radiator repairers as needed
• Photographing components and completing job documentation
• Conducting preliminary quality inspections
• Ensuring all work complies with safety and quality standards

About You

You’ll be a great fit if you:

• Are mechanically minded and enjoy hands‑on work
• Have experience using hand tools and power tools
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to health & safety
• Can follow instructions and standard operating procedures
• Are well organised, punctual and reliable
• Have good written and verbal communication

Previous experience with radiators, cooling components or working on heavy equipment will be highly regarded.
