Job summary

Just Recruitment is seeking Trades Assistant / Assembly Operator to join a Greensborough-based production team. The role involves operating machines, assembling metal components, and processing parts to high-quality standards.

Desirable candidates have experience in metal fabrication, CNC operation, and a keen eye for detail. On-site, dayshift with opportunities for training and career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience with manufacture or assembly of metal parts.
• Operating CNC machines is preferred.
• Able to follow detailed instructions and maintain quality.

Responsibilities

• Machine operating to set up and run components.
• Assemble components to specified configurations.
• Process metal components to required dimensions and finishes.
• Inspect parts for defects and ensure quality standards.
• Remove imperfections such as scratches or blemishes on finished parts.
• Perform manual handling tasks as part of production.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.

Position Description (Trades Assistant / Assembly Operator)

• Machine Operating
• Assembly of component
• Processing of metal components
• Inspection of parts for defects
• Removing of imperfections such as scratches, blemishes or splatter on finished parts
• Manual Handling tasks
• Operating hand and power tools

Desirable Experience and Skills

• Experience with manufacture or assembly of metal parts
• Operating CNC Machines
• Milling or Machining Qualification
• Confidence on hand, power and air tools
• High level of attention to detail and ability to followed detailed instructions
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
