Job summary

Field Mining Services is seeking motivated Trade Assistants for casual, rostered and adhoc work at Mackay & Coalfields. You will work alongside experienced tradespeople on heavy mining equipment with the potential to progress toward a trade-based apprenticeship for the right candidates.

To succeed you should have mining exposure, Coal Board Medical, and be able to meet site requirements. Desirable: Working at Heights, Confined Spaces, Gas Test Atmospheres, and strong communication and safety

Qualifications

• Experience working in a mining environment.
• Coal Board Medical.
• Experience working with Diggers and Drills.
• Standard 11 Statement of Attainment.
• Working at Heights (Desirable).
• Confined Spaces (Desirable).
• Gas Test Atmospheres (Desirable).
• Problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Great communication and interpersonal skills.
• Have the proven ability to liaise with both management and clients.
• Uncompromising attitude to safety.
• Ability to meet site requirements.
