Job summary

FMS Field Mining Services Group in Mackay is seeking Mechanical Fitters with dragline maintenance experience for a casual/temporary role based on the southern side of the Bowen Basin. The position offers day shift, 4 on/4 off or 3 on/3 off rosters to enjoy longer weekends.

You will join a team with long‑term staff, a strong safety culture and opportunities to develop core mining skills, with site access to Coalfields.

Qualifications

• Experience in a mining environment.
• Coal Board Medical and Standard 11 or BMA Core SOA required.
• Safety qualifications: Confined Space, GTA & Working at Heights.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to liaise with management and clients.

Responsibilities

• Operate as a Mechanical Fitter on site with dragline maintenance.
• Be part of a great team with long-term staff and strong safety focus.

We currently have a great opportunity for Mechanical Fitters, with Dragline maintenance experience. Come and join a great team and a company with continued growth. This position is based in the southern side of the Bowen Basin.

This is a great work / life balance opportunity, you will work 4 days on and 4 days off / 3 days on and 3 days off to enjoy a long weekend every week. This roster is day shift only.

About the Role:

• 4 on 4 off Mon-Thurs – 3 on 3 off Tues-Thurs

The successful applicant, will have:

• Experience working in a mining environment
• Coal Board Medical
• Standard 11 Statement of Attainment or BMA Core SOA
