Job summary

Ventia is hiring a Trade Assistant to support the Western Sydney Airport Facilities Management contract on site at Western Sydney Airport. This full-time role offers hands-on maintenance support within a friendly, safety-focused team.

You will assist tradespersons with maintenance tasks, move materials, complete work orders, and help identify issues while upholding quality and customer service standards. Applicants should have a positive work ethic, good communication, a current unrestricted

Qualifications

• Experience in labouring or maintenance support roles.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Good communication and willingness to learn new skills.
• Current unrestricted driver’s licence and ability to obtain a National Police Check.

Responsibilities

• Assist tradespersons with preventative and reactive maintenance works.
• Perform general labouring and maintenance support activities.
• Undertake maintenance and housekeeping tasks.
• Assist with minor maintenance and repair works within competency levels.
• Move materials, tools and equipment across site.
• Complete work orders and documentation as required.
• Identify and report maintenance issues, hazards and defects.
• Support contractors and other maintenance personnel on site.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the day-to-day operations of one of Australia's most significant infrastructure projects while working with a supportive team based full-time on site at Western Sydney Airport.

Responsibilities Will Include

• Assisting tradespersons with preventative and reactive maintenance works.

About You

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A positive attitude and strong work ethic and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Good communication skills and a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Previous labouring, maintenance or trade assistant experience (desirable).
• Current unrestricted driver's licence.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Check.
