Job summary

Flinders Shire Council in Queensland is seeking a reliable Tractor Slasher Operator / Labourer to join the Engineering Services team, with duties across road maintenance and outdoor works.

You will be responsible for safe operation of tractor slashing and associated plant, perform hands-on maintenance, and contribute to delivering high-quality infrastructure across the Shire. A strong focus on safety and teamwork is expected.

• Operate tractor slasher and machinery safely as part of the Road Maintenance team.
• Undertake hands-on road maintenance and general labouring duties as required.
• Contribute to the maintenance of roads, public areas and infrastructure across the Flinders Shire.

Flinders Shire Council is seeking a reliable and experienced Tractor Slasher Operator / Labourer to join our Engineering Services team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating plant and machinery and contributing to the maintenance of roads, public areas and infrastructure across the Flinders Shire.

Predominantly based within the Road Maintenance team, the successful applicant will be responsible for the safe and competent operation of Council plant and fleet, including tractor slashing operations, as well as undertaking a range of hands-on road maintenance and general labouring duties.

You will be part of a practical and supportive team, with a strong focus on safety, teamwork, quality service delivery and maintaining Council's infrastructure to a high standard.
