City of Parramatta is seeking two Permanent Full‑Time Parks Operations team members to maintain parks, open spaces and community assets. The role combines tractor operation with hands-on horticultural and grounds maintenance duties.

You will operate tractors, perform planned maintenance, inspect facilities for safety, and support the Parks crew, using digital tools to record work and report issues. A NSW MR Driver Licence and White Card are required.

• Ability to undertake physical requirements of the role.

Salary: Weekly rate from $1,311 to $1,444 plus 12% superannuation plus allowance as per the award

This is a great opportunity to join City of Parramatta’s Parks Operations Team and play a hands‑on role in maintaining and enhancing our parks, open spaces and community assets.

About the role

Join a dedicated team responsible for maintaining Parramatta’s Parks and Open Spaces, combining tractor operation with hands‑on horticultural and grounds maintenance activities.

Role Responsibilities:

• Operating tractors, mowing equipment and powered attachments to maintain park and open spaces across the LGA.
• Completing a planned program of horticultural and grounds maintenance tasks to the required service standards.
• Inspecting parks and facilities to help ensure they remain safe, usable and well‑presented.
• Supporting the Parks crew with day‑to‑day maintenance activities, adapting to changing priorities and assisting other crews when required.
• Completing work programs efficiently, safely and to agreed service standards.
• Using Council’s digital systems (including iPad‑based software) to record work, complete checklists and report issues.

We are offering an attractive weekly rate from $1,311 to $1,444 plus 12% superannuation.

This position will attract allowances in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2026, this could include the Adverse Working Conditions Level Allowance.

About You

We are looking for a reliable and motivated team member who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work, and can adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic operational environment.

You will also bring:

• Experience operating tractors, mowing equipment and other plant safely and efficiently.
• Experience in parks maintenance, horticulture or groundskeeping.
• Experience operating tractors, mowing equipment and other plant safely and efficiently.
• The ability to undertake the physical requirements of the role.
• A collaborative approach and willingness to assist other teams when needed.

To be considered for this role, you must meet the essential requirements in the Position Description, including:
