City of Parramatta is seeking an outdoor operations worker for a Permanent Part-Time role (34 hours per week). The position runs Friday to Monday with early morning shifts, offering a salary in the mid-$70k plus 12% superannuation and weekend penalties.

The role includes operating plant such as garbage compactors, maintaining assets for the Cleansing Services Team, and supporting other teams during emergencies or wet weather.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid MR NSW Driver's Licence.
• Current Traffic Controller qualification (Blue/Yellow).
• White Card is mandatory for site work.

About the role

Duties will include

• Operate / drive a variety of plant including garbage compactors.
• Undertaking a variety of tasks required for the successful completion of the functions of the Cleansing Services Team to ensure the long-term management, condition and usability of assets and facilities under the care of the team.
• Adapt to changing priorities and undertake other tasks as directed, to assist other teams and operational areas, particularly in wet weather or other emergencies to meet community needs.

We offer a competitive remuneration package from $70,836 to $77,981 plus 12% superannuation and weekend penalties.

This position may attract additional shift penalties and allowance in accordance with the Local Government Award 2026.

• Experience operating a variety of plant including garbage compactors
• Current MR NSW Drivers Licence
• Current traffic controller (Blue, Yellow)
• White Card
