Job summary

Programmed Maintenance Services in New South Wales is seeking a Towns & Parks Maintenance Operator in Jindera to perform hands-on maintenance across urban areas, parks, road reserves and other public spaces. You will operate plant and equipment to support the operation, maintenance and construction of Shire infrastructure, while contributing to a positive and professional image of Council.

This role requires an MR licence (minimum), a White Card and NSW Traffic Control Ticket, plus demonstrated

Qualifications

• MR Licence is required and valid.
• White Card mandatory for site access.
• NSW Traffic Control Ticket mandatory.
• Demonstrated experience operating plant equipment.
• Extensive knowledge in maintenance of street trees.

Responsibilities

• Maintain road reserves, parks and public areas.
• Carry out street and gutter cleaning and remove litter and rubbish.
• Clean public toilets and maintain drainage.
• Mow grass, prune trees and help maintain sporting ovals.
• Operate plant and equipment in line with manufacturer instructions, Council procedures and applicable requirements.
• Follow work health and safety procedures, identify and report hazards, incidents and risks to the public.
• Work cooperatively with colleagues, participate in relevant training and undertake other duties within your skills as directed.

About the Role

Reporting to the Town and Parks Maintenance Ganger - East Region, you will undertake a range of hands‑on maintenance duties across urban areas, parks, road reserves and other public spaces. You will operate relevant plant and equipment to support the operation, maintenance and construction of Shire infrastructure, while contributing to a positive and professional image of Council.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain road reserves, parks and public areas.
