Qualifications

• Experience processing development applications in local government or planning
• Sound knowledge of planning legislation and environmental planning instruments
• Ability to prepare reports and respond to planning inquiries

Responsibilities

• Assess and coordinate development applications from lodgement to recommendation for approval or refusal
• Conduct site inspections, prepare reports and monitor compliance with planning consent conditions
• Provide planning advice to residents, developers and agencies and respond to enquiries
• Investigate and resolve planning and regulatory complaints including follow-up actions
• Prepare high-quality reports and representations for management, Council and committees
