Job summary

NW Mining & Civil is seeking experienced Tower Crane Operators and Intermediate Riggers for a Varsity Lakes project. The role covers hammerhead, luffing and self-erecting cranes with rigging and dogging tasks as needed.

Rosters start Monday–Friday, with Saturdays added as work progresses, on an 18-month project. Casual pay rates range from $50-$52/hr plus penalties based on tickets and experience, inclusive of industry allowances.

Qualifications

• 2+ years tower crane experience.
• CT high risk licence is mandatory.
• RI or RA high risk licence is mandatory.
• Current driver’s licence and/or reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Operate hammerhead, luffing and self-erecting tower cranes.
• Carry out dogging and rigging tasks as required.
• Work Monday to Friday with Saturdays as project progresses.
• Adhere to safety, reliability and project procedures.

NW Mining & Civil are seeking experienced Tower Crane Operators/Intermediate Riggers to join our client’s team on an upcoming construction project in Varsity Lakes.

Our client is a leader in the tower crane and materials handling industries, servicing clients throughout SE QLD and northern NSW. As we support them to provide skilled labour to their valued clients, you will be joining a team that values safety, reliability, innovation and career progression.

Current vacancies exist for operators with hammerhead, luffing and self-erecting tower crane experience, rigger applicants must have experience with tilt panels and be willing and able to carry out all tasks required including Dogging from time to time.

Along with the above experience, the right attitude & work ethic are crucial to succeed. Applicants should be reliable, versatile, team players and great communicators.

Roster will be Monday to Friday to start with, once the project is well underway Saturdays will be required as well. Shifts are between 8-12hr shifts with 10 being the most common. We are seeking people who are committed to the long term success of the project, which is expected to run for 18 months.

Casual pay rate is from $50-52/hr + penalties based on tickets & experience, these above award rates are inclusive of all industry allowances.
