Job summary

Proline Building Commercial is seeking an experienced Tower Crane Operator and Dogman to join our team on a full-time or contract basis, based in Concord, NSW 2137. You will be responsible for safe and efficient crane operation and dogman duties to move materials across the site.

Key responsibilities include crane operation, pre-operation inspections, signaling with site staff, rigging and load securing, and maintaining records while upholding safety on all projects.

Qualifications

• HRWL Tower Crane certification or equivalent.
• Dogman or Rigging certification valid for your state.
• Minimum 2+ years of tower crane experience on commercial projects.
• Proven ability to perform dogman duties including rigging and load securing.
• Strong knowledge of load charts, weight calculations and safe procedures.
• Excellent communication and coordination in a team environment.
• Strong safety record and commitment to WHS on site.
• Able to work flexibly to meet project needs.

Responsibilities

• Operate tower cranes safely and efficiently per laws, regs and procedures.
• Conduct pre-operation crane inspections and report defects.
• Coordinate with dogmen, site supervisors via radio and hand signals.
• Perform dogman duties: rigging, slinging and load securing with safety compliance.
• Direct movement of materials and equipment from ground as required.
• Maintain accurate records of crane operations and incidents.
• Comply with WHS requirements and contribute to safety culture.
• Assist with crane scheduling and coordination with site management.
• Perform routine cleaning of crane and rigging equipment.

Proline Building Commercial is seeking an experienced Tower Crane Operator and Dogman to join our dynamic team on a full-time or contract basis. This is a critical position on our construction sites, based in Concord, NSW 2137. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of tower cranes and performing dogman duties, ensuring the smooth movement and placement of materials and equipment across our construction project. Your expertise and attention to safety will be fundamental to the success of our operations and the wellbeing of our team members.

Key responsibilities

• Operate tower cranes safely and efficiently in accordance with all relevant legislation, regulations and company procedures
• Conduct pre-operation inspections of cranes and associated equipment to identify and report any defects or maintenance requirements
• Communicate effectively with dogmen, site supervisors and other personnel using radio communications and hand signals
• Perform dogman duties including rigging, slinging and securing loads, ensuring all safety protocols are followed
• Guide and direct the movement of materials, equipment and personnel from the ground as required
• Maintain accurate records of crane operations and any incidents or near-misses
• Comply with all workplace health and safety requirements and actively contribute to a safety-focused culture on site
• Assist with the coordination and planning of crane schedules with site management
• Perform routine cleaning of crane and rigging equipment

What we’re looking for

• Current and valid High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) for Tower Crane operation (or equivalent)
• Current and valid Dogman or Rigging certification appropriate to your state
• Minimum 2+ years' proven experience operating tower cranes on commercial construction projects
• Demonstrated competency and experience in performing dogman duties including rigging, slinging and load securing
• Strong understanding of load charts, weight calculations and safe working practices
• Excellent communication and coordination skills, particularly in a team environment
• A proven commitment to workplace health and safety with a strong safety record
• Physical fitness and ability to work
• Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to work flexibly as project demands require
• Knowledge of construction industry practices and site protocols
