AIM Recruitment Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a well-established supplier to the Australian mining industry. Based in Sunshine, soon relocating to Airport West, they seek an experienced CNC Programmer/Machinist to join a precision manufacturing team.

The role focuses on high-precision components used across critical mining applications nationwide, with day shifts and a supportive team culture. A toolmaking background and fitting experience are advantageous for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in CNC programming and machine operation.
• Background in toolmaking and/or mechanical fitting strongly preferred.
• Strong ability to interpret complex technical drawings.
• High attention to detail with a commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC machines using G-code or related software.
• Write and interpret technical drawings and CAD/CAM files.
• Select appropriate tooling and machining strategies to meet tight tolerances.
• Perform in-process inspections and quality control checks.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and adjust machines as needed.
• Work collaboratively in a team environment to meet production and safety targets.

About The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and respected supplier to the Australian mining industry. Based in Sunshine soon to relocate to Airport West, this facility is seeking experienced and motivated CNC Programmer/Machinist to join their precision manufacturing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a CNC Programmer/Machinist with a toolmaking background, ideally combined with fitting experience, to work on high-precision components that are used across critical mining applications nationwide.
