Job summary

Workfast is seeking a qualified Toolmaker for a full‑time, permanent position in Wetherill Park, NSW. The role covers maintenance and tooling for die casting equipment, with a focus on continuous improvement and safety.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Toolmaking or related field.
• Proven experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and fabrication skills.
• Experience with tooling, dies, or die casting equipment is highly regarded.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and maintenance reports.
• Knowledge of WHS and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining, repairing, inspecting and overhauling die casting equipment and tooling.
• Performing machining, polishing, fitting and tooling modification work.
• Diagnosing machine breakdowns and performing preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Manufacturing, modifying and maintaining tooling, jigs, fixtures and production aids.
• Identifying safety, workholding and efficiency improvement opportunities.
• Supporting automation initiatives and equipment upgrades.
• Operating workshop machinery safely and reading technical specifications.
• Upholding WHS policies and maintaining a clean, safe work area.
