Job summary

Toll Aviation is seeking a skilled Tooling Coordinator for our Bankstown, NSW facility. You will ensure tooling and ground support equipment are ready for service across multiple bases, coordinating inspections, maintenance, and MRO per company and CASA procedures.

You will manage tool orders and inventory, liaise with suppliers, and maintain records to support efficient maintenance schedules and aircraft airworthiness. A background in aviation tooling is essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in tools management within an aircraft maintenance or similar technical environment.
  • Working knowledge of Part 145 regulations preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related software applications.

The Opportunity
Tooling Coordinator - Bankstown, NSW

Toll Aviation are seeking an experienced Tooling Coordinator to join our Bankstown facility. The Tooling Coordinator is responsible to ensure all tooling and associated aircraft ground support equipment is available for service, for a fleet of rotary wing aircraft operating at multiple bases across Australia. This will be achieved by coordinating all required scheduled inspections, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) through the application of documented company, OEM and CASA regulatory procedures.

As the Tooling Coordinator, you will:

  • Managing all tool orders, tool inventory, and supplier quotes.
  • Prepare and deliver requested tools promptly to support maintenance schedules and minimize downtime.
  • Investigate tool-related issues, assess operational impact, and implement corrective actions to maintain efficiency.
  • Manage tool procurement and tracking through the company's online system (Gannet), submit purchase orders, and maintain accurate records for future requirements.
  • Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure equipment standards and manage inventory maintaining on-hand spares and consumables.
  • Play a crucial role in supporting the airworthiness of aircraft and tooling components, directly contributing to mission success.
About You

To be successful in the role, you must have:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in tools management (trouble shooting/repairing) within an aircraft maintenance or similar technical environment.
  • Working knowledge of Part 145 regulations preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related software applications.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation and perform basic shop mathematics accurately.
  • A minimum of 18 Years old and 3 years' experience in the aviation industry (or similar technical, regulated environment).
  • Strong understanding of CASA regulations and industry standards for tooling and associated equipment highly desirable.
