Job summary

NTHA in Narangba, QLD, is seeking a Timber and Wood Production Trainee for a paid, 18‑month traineeship, 7am to 3.30pm. Earn while you learn and gain hands-on experience in timber processing, production and warehousing.

You’ll learn grading, drying, storage, coding and packing timber, with on‑the‑job training and mentoring to develop practical industry skills.

Qualifications

• Certificate III qualification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with timber processing and production operations.

Enjoy hands-on work and learning how things are made? NTHA Trainees & Apprentices is seeking a motivated Timber and Wood Production Trainee to join our host employer in Narangba,QLD.

You’ll gain experience across timber processing, production and warehousing, learning how timber is graded, dried, stored and prepared for customer orders.
This is a great opportunity for someone with good communication skills, a practical approach to problem solving and a willingness to work and learn.

What you’ll do:

• Assist with timber processing and production operations
• Grade and sort timber to meet quality requirements
• Rack and store timber safely
• Learn how to kiln-dry timber
• Pick and pack timber orders
• Code and label timber products accurately
• Support general warehousing and stock handling
• Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain organised work areas
