Job summary

Thredbo, Australia’s premier year-round alpine destination, seeks a Patrol role to deliver Advanced First Aid, stabilize injured guests, and transport them to the Thredbo Medical Centre during summer. You will promote mountain safety via trail markers, signage and fencing, and maintain strong resort knowledge to inform guests.

Qualifications

• Experience in Ski or MTB Patrol or MTB park operations.
• Experience driving off-road vehicles (4x4/ATV).
• Knowledge of trail markings and hazard signage.
• Ability to ride Thredbo gravity trails to intermediate level.

Job description

Bike Patrol provides Advanced First Aid, stabilization of injured guests during the summer season including MTB and hiking injuries and transportation to the Thredbo Medical Centre while also providing customer service to our guests. At all times this role is required to promote mountain safety through education and the use of trail markers, signage and fencing. It is a requirement to maintain a strong level of knowledge about the resort, as you will need to be able to provide information to guests as required.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in Ski or MTB Patrol, or MTB Park Operations
• Experience driving off-road vehicles, 4x4s or ATVs
• Experience with, or tickets and qualifications related to chainsaws/brush cutters, hand tools, power tools and trail maintenance tools
• Experience with trail markings and hazard signage
• Ability to ride Thredbo’s gravity trails to an intermediate level or above
