Job summary

Westpac Group in Sydney, NSW is seeking a Protective Security Intelligence Analyst to identify, assess and respond to threats that could impact people, customers, operations and the bank’s reputation.

You will gather and analyse information from OSINT, SOCMINT and internal reporting, build threat assessments and support protective security investigations, including executive briefings on emerging risks.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in intelligence, investigations, protective security, law enforcement, journalism, or a comparable analytical discipline.
• Understanding of intelligence collection, structured analytical techniques, threat assessment methodologies, and intelligence production.
• Demonstrated experience using OSINT and SOCMINT ethically, safely, and in accordance with policy requirements.
• Strong analytical judgement, with the ability to identify patterns, emerging risks, intelligence gaps, and concerning behaviours from diverse information sources.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear, concise, and executive-ready intelligence products.
• High levels of integrity, discretion, and professionalism when handling sensitive and confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess and respond to threats affecting Westpac.
• Gather and analyse information from OSINT, social media and internal reporting.
• Build threat assessments and support protective security investigations.
• Prepare executive briefings on emerging risks.
• Help leaders make informed decisions during incidents and investigations.
